MEZCAL AKUL is the new member of the mezcal family of Sacrificio distillery, founded in 2011 with the aim of creating the best artisan mezcal in the market. From the Mexican Pacific, AKUL is made 100% from agave vivipara grown in the states of Oaxaca and Tamaulipas. The agave vivipara gathers the best characteristics to produce a mezcal just as smooth on the palate as powerful in taste. The whole manufacturing process is artisanal and particularly careful, to get a unique product.

The agaves of 10 years are hand-harvested assuring perfect maturity. Our ovens are modern and we use mesquite woods, to bake the agave perfectly and thus avoiding an excess of smoky notes. The double distillation process in copper ensures elegance and the final oxygenation helps to integrate and prevent the wonderful flavors of ripe agave from hiding. A drink in which artisanal features and tradition blend with a modern touch.

Alone or in a cocktail, AKUL combines perfectly with citrus fruits such as lemon and orange. As an appetizer it is ideal served with ginger, basil, allspice or mint. It matches ideally with seafood or raw food, also with fritters and all kinds of tapas.

As a digestive it is ideally paired with sorbets, coffee and chocolate. AKUL is ideally served in Catavino or sherry glasses, at room temperature
